Relationships come in many forms and they all have their own story. This video was shot in the very last hours of my stay at Broken Lamp Studio. The studio where I lived and worked for 10 great years in a fantastic location.

There was a set there that I had built early on that was of great use over the years. It played a role as a sunken town of the sea, an abandoned house in the mountains (complete with real aspen trees in the “yard”), a dusty forgotten wing of a mansion, a bright and white room for dominos wedding registry, and a handful of other shoots.
Before I left Broken Lamp, I wanted to do one last shoot with it. I wanted to burn it to the ground. So I did. And here is the video that came from it.
It’s about the fluctuating ups and downs of a relationship, and the beauty and pain of watching it grow and fade.

It was such a pleasure working with Alex Milewski and Lanea Blackburn as the dancers. I was blown away with the amount of emotion that they could convey and how quickly they grasped the concept of the story I was trying to tell.
